MISSION STATEMENT

The United Presbyterian Church of Jamestown is a welcoming Christ-center Bible-based community drawn together to worship God, to learn about the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit as we share the Good News with the world.  Because of this belief:

1. We minister to each other by

a.   visiting the sick and others in need

b.   provide worship and communion

c.   planning social events

d.   caring for one another

2.   We minister to the children and youth by

a.   involving them in the church service

b.   providing a variety of children and youth programs

3.  We minister to our members by

a.   helping them grow in their faith in Jesus Christ

b.   caring for their needs

c.   involving them in the life and ministry of our congregation

We teach each other through

1.   Children’s and youth educational program

2.   Adult Education (Sunday school and small groups)

3.   Worship

4.   Training

We spread God’s Word through

1.   Community events

4.   Providing and promoting a positive Christian attitude
