Our goal and mission at the United Presbyterian Church of Jamestown is  “to know God and to make God known.”  We strive to accomplish this mission  through a variety of way as we reach out to children, youth, college students, and adults.

Sunday School:

Sunday School begins the first Sunday after Labor Day from 9:00-10:15 AM for children age 2 through adults.  During Sunday school, time is allocated for music and Bible study.  We have a trained staff who are ready to teach your children about the love and grace of Jesus Christ.  Please note that most classes for children meet on the second floor of the education wing.  An elevator is available for those who need additional assistance.

Jr. High and Sr. High Sunday school classes are offered.  Please see class description under the link, Youth Ministry.  Adult class opportunities are described under the Adult Education link.

Vacation Bible School (VBS):

VBS is held for a week every summer in the evenings from 6:00-8:30 PM for children ages 3 through 5th grade.  The four components which make up VBS include singing, crafts, Bible stories, and snacks.  Notice of particular dates will be published in the church newsletter and bulletins in the Spring

Kids Summer Program:

Our church's summer program is offered for children as a way to stay connected to the church and each other during the summer months. Past activities have included nursing home visits, Frontier Village outing, trips to Storybook Land in Aberdeen, SD, trips to Water Parks in Bismarck and Aberdeen, trip to Humane Society to play with the animals and take supplies, Puppetry/Music, Fun Fest Street Fair,  and more.

The J.A.M.M. Children's Program:

The YMCA in conjunction with the United Presbyterian Church and Atonement Lutheran Church offers a children's ministry program each Wednesday afternoon. Directed by Elizabeth Sherfy and Kara Paeiment, J.A.M.M. (Jesus Always Matters Most) meets every Wednesday from 3:30-5 pm from September-May at the YMCA. The first Wednesday of each month offers a family meal from 5-6. Rides from school are offered for those that need it. An after school snack is provided for all children. Join us for great
games, music, learning, snacks, swimming adventures, snow and ice skating adventures, fellowship, and flat-out fun!!
This program is for all kindergarten through 5th grade students. The cost is only $15 per child per semester or $30 for a family ($10 and $20 respectively for members of the YMCA).
The purpose of J.A.M.M. is to provide a mid-week program where children can gather in a fun and safe atmosphere to learn about the saving grace of Jesus Christ, grow in their relationships with other peers and adults, and to become people of faith in God.
