Music is a important part of the life of our congregation.  Opportunities for music is given for our youngest children to our oldest adults.  Some of the pubic opportunities include:

Children and Youth Music:

·   Sunshine Children's Choir practices during the Sunday school hour and sings in church about once a month.  This group definitely shares “a joyful noise.”

 

· Music/Drama Team:  If you are a 4-8 grader, enjoy having fun with Christian music, doing puppetry, and eating snacks, you are invited to join the sic/drama team.  They meet Wednesday afternoons at 3:20 PM (or whenever you can get here after school) in the fellowship hall.  For more information about this special group, please talk with Doreen Larson.  This group meets during the school year.

 

Adult Music:

·   The Chancel Choir, our adult choir, sings every Sunday during the Sunday morning worship service.  Directed by David Morlock, this choir sings a variety of music, including gospel, contemporary, and classical.  The Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7pm during the school year and is open to anyone who wishes to sing. 

·  The Good News Ringers, our church handbell choir, plays on occasion during the Sunday worship service.  They have also performed at other community functions, including nursing home services and other special events.  This group meets on Tuesday evenings at 5:00 PM from September through May.  Anyone is invited to be a part of the special group.

   The Praise Team is a group of youth and adults who share contemporary music during church.  This group consists of piano/keyboard, guitars, drums, flute, and vocalists.  Sylvia Pringle leads this group of musicians.

  Special Music opportunities are available during the summer months.  If you would like to sing or play an instrumental piece during worship in the summer, we invite you to talk with David Morlock.
